About MusicHoundDog.com Birmingham

MusicHoundDog.com was launched in August 2003 and is designed to encourage live music in Birmingham, UK.
The website was created by Alex Martin, now 19, with an aim to promote live music, of all genres, in the city.

This website provides online resources for bands and musicians in the city, including a gig guide, marketplace, band advice section and tuition pages. The whole website is free to use and regularly updated, in the hope that it will encourage bands and live music in Birmingham.

MusicHoundDog.com quickly became one of Birmingham's top music websites and has been featured several times in Birmingham's Evening Mail and on the Channel 4 website. Click here to read Channel 4's review of MusicHoundDog.com.

In December, MusicHoundDog.com held a Charity Xmas Party in support of the "'Why My Child?' Appeal", raising over £500 for the Birmingham Children's Hospital. A selection of local bands played live for the occasion, which was held at Broad Street's Hard Rock Cafe. Our thanks go to the Hard Rock Cafe and all the bands who performed.

Since being launched, MusicHoundDog.com has had over 100,000 visitors, proving it to be one of Birmingham's leading music websites.
